I'm usually not the one for much aesthetic mods - but I don't know why I waited so long to convert to the S2k antenna - it makes the car look so much nicer. The reception didn't change much in my opinion.

 

no reception change with my S2K either,looks way better too.I also got a short antenna from Cravenspeed.com for my Yaris and very little signal loss from it either,not bad for a 4" antenna.

 

you dont have any reception change with a s2k antenna...anything shorter yes it will be weaker.....

 

my g/f thinks im a snob and that I think I am too good for "normal radio" lol listening to iPod or before when I had Sirius in it.

 

I have the shorty antenna used on a 09 sebring. There is a slight loss in AM reception. Otherwise not bad.

WTF! you can pull if off a honda in the dealership? Does it just twist off or something? if its so easy, cant someone just jack if off your car in a parking lot? sounds like alot of people want this thing =x

I wish I'd gotten a ipod, but i got a samsung already before getting my tc =[

its cheap, and it looks like the same thing, and the material used sound nice.....

yea it just twist off......some glue it down so noone would steal it...

i have a s2k antenna on my tc.....but i didnt glue it down...

 

mine got stolen and it had thread lock on it

 

that's why i put thread locker on mine so that it didn't get stolen. I used the red thread locker, its never coming off!

 

i used the red one too. they took it off some how and then stuck the horse whip antenna. i think someone hates me lol

 

damn, if it was the red one, its supposed to break the antenna mount to get it off lol but yeah if they put the stock one on there, then it has to be a scion tc owner lol

 

yeah the thread lock is pointless cause if you dont have an alarm then its really no use. i have a s2k antenna and i lost some reception in some areas as well plus i live in a town with a bunch of stupid kids always jack stuff like this. first it was the colored honda emblems and now anything they can get their hands on.

 

my neighborhood is that like.....and we dont have a garage....
