Default Scion tC 08 having trouble installing the H.I.D. Conversion..

I got my kit this weekend it took off the head put didn't fit in the instruction it says that I have to cut out a piece of head light from my low beams. So anyone out there
that could help me out I would appreciate it and if you got pics of a site where it shows how to do it that would be even better. I tried YouTube but that didn't work out at out.

I'm not too sure about the 08 projector headlights, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to cut anything. AT ALL. Except maybe for excess zip tie. It should plug and play.

no cutting required on the 08 projector headlights with a plug-n-play hid kit. my girl got a set for hers and they plugged right in.

Yea I sell them they say u need to cut the rubber grommets but the tC doesn't need to
nor has them they should plug right in. Try to see if the size is right with ur stock bulb.

i dont know about you.. but for my HIDs they are plug and play. but it didn't fit becaues the rubber ring around the bulbs were big, so i had to swap it with the stock bulb's ring. that could be why it doesn't fit.

the relay harness is a good idea to install with the kit

i'm still trying to figure out why the instructions tell you to cut something and why it doesn't fit right in.

USE THE RELAY HARNESS! If you don't you risk frying your factory harness. No bueno.

I'm not quite sure what your saying doesn't fit. The bulb or the wiring harness? You should have ordered the H11 (2008-2009 tC) size kit. If you accidentally ordered the 9006 (2005-2007 tC) the bulbs will not fit the factory wiring plug. If I remember correctly, they will fit into the housing though. Most companies will just give you a 9006 bulb and an adapter wiring piece to connect it all. So I'm going to guess thats what they did. You must use the relay harness to connect everything. Bulb to the relay harness, then using the adapter wiring to connect to one of the factory bulb plugs, as a signal to the relay.

Connect the wires to the ballasts. The part about cutting may just be the dust cover/
grommet that comes attached to the new lights, the tC doesn't use it. i just left mine on.

the wires coming from the bulbs should plug into the ballasts. there should be three tails (besides the power and ground) coming from the relay. two of them go to the ballasts, and the third plugs into the stock bulb's socket.

when i got my kit, they said that at that time, no one made a H11 harness, so they just use a 9006 harness and use an adapter that goes in between the relay and the stock bulb's plug.

check out mobilehid.com's instruction page. it may help.

wait what?

in the picture of the harness:
the red wire (power wire) connects directly to the positive side of your battery.
the black single wire (ground plug) connects directly to the negative side of your battery.
the two plugs that are labled "ballast plugs" connect to the ballasts. logically, the longer one to the passenger side.
the "remote turn-on plug" connects to the factory headlight bulb's plug. the one that you would normally plug the headlight bulb into.
the HID bulbs should have a plug coming out of them. those plug into the ballasts.
