one guy told me the sunroof was around 36lbs savings if went to CF - but im not sure who said it. If 36wasnt the exact number then it was something around there. ....meaning ... thats a lot of high weight reduction for our car.

I have had my roof on for 8 months or so, love it, the car is actually much stiffer which helps the handling and of course the 46lb savings really made a huge impact in that area as well.
I have not seen if they modded the design for bolt in, etc, but the way it came to me it was quite a bit of effort to install. If the design it the same as the one I have, be prepared for a great deal of work wether you install it as designed or the way we did.
For those with the time, energy and commitment, this is the best single mod done to our car.

This Thread Is Worthless Without Pics....It is really wierd to see people who mod their cars to show perfection and cannot take a simple pic... lol... Come on people get with it.. As soon as i do a mod, i have a camera ready in hand. I would want people to see WHAT they are buying, or want to buy... I have been on forums for a while and when pictures are not availible but the product is, this brings up questions upon questions, when it could be solved by pictures to back it up. Its best not to mention something that is available without SHOWING, WHAT, it is....

Most of the talk on here is not even about real performance, nor most of the pics that are posted, to me it is just,
My mods are done with simple looking outward appearances, my car looks mostly stock as I prefer it to be, I like to be fast, not look fast, more fun that way, less hassle from the cops as well.
If I showed pics of the roof remarks would be made that it looks stock because the only difference outside is the missing two gaps since it is one piece. It is black gel coat as I preferred.
The inside is where the carbon/kevlar weave showed but I covered that with insulation to keep it quiter and cooler in hot weather. No worries, the materials I used are very low in weight.
Honestly though, I have a motive for not showing pics, I want to get the car published and if I show pics my chances are slimmer in getting it in print since I have to go up against all the decked out ricermobiles that fill most magazines.
So, I am not showing pics to protect my investment which is quite substantial in time and money, until I get the car published then everything should be covered, if not I will post them up.
Sorry, not meaning to be a snob or, selfish, just careful, many have seen the car in person and anybody that wants to come and look at it is most welcome.
Sincerely,
Rick
