Default Searching for Chrome Exterior trim

I have a BSP '07 Scion tC and I am looking for some chrome trim for the B pillar or around the side and rear quarter windows. I know you can buy a carbon fiber trim piece from Toyota that says tC on it for the b pillar but I cant find anything chrome. Does anyone know where to find something like that? I am also looking for a chrome grill. I have a set of Angel Eye Halo bmw style headlights with chrome and I want to match it up all around. If you can help me out I will post pictures for you when it all comes togther. Thanks

I think that the chrome trim pieces look really tacky and I usually see chrome windshield wipers with the trim pieces which makes it look even worse. But, to answer your question, I haven't ever seen anything like this for the tC. As far as the grille is concerned, I think the closest thing that you could get to chrome is the RS2 grille. I do not believe that Grillcraft or Fig LLC make grilles in chrome; usually just silver.

What headlights did you buy?

Why does everyone hate chrome so much? Don't over do it, but I think chrome on black looks great. You don't have to drive a $70,000 luxury sedan to like chrome.

thanks but no thanks on the door handles. And trust me, it won't look tacky when I'm finished. If you've seen the new Audi a8 with chrome trim package you'll know what I'm going for here. Not chrome all over, definately not on the wipers, just a few accents, maybe one for each view of the car (side, front rear). I may not even change the grill, perhaps just a chrome scion emblem would look nice. Thanks again for the feedback guys. It helps a lot.

PS I found a B pillar chrome trim piece on ebay, but it is for 04-06 tC and there is no picture or review. Anyone know anything about these? Will they fit an '07? does the 3M backing work well? http://stores.ebay.com/BestAutoParts...dZ2QQpZ4QQtZkm

PPS http://www.krazykustomzonline.com/05...e-p-13454.html these are the headlights that I have

I think random chrome accents, OEM or otherwise, are one of the worst things about exterior car design in the last 5 years. Is it just me or do others think its so ugly when I see a car with one color paint, black trim, and then chrome just around the windows, or on the grill. It looks like something that is going to get really dirty looking and then fall off to me. And it's not even cheap cars that do it!I think chrome totally ruined the Jetta's design language, for instance. Wheels are a different story if done right, but even that look is getting played out.

*edit: I will say that black wheels w/ chrome lip are the shizz. I really want to move up to some of those actually. That's the only chrome I'll do

Nah. From the pictures I've seen here it actually looks pretty good. Same for teh chrome door handles, it's pretty sharp. I just think chrome is better when used sparingly.

But isn't carbon fiber s'posed to be the "the new chrome?"

Well, 'cept for the used sparingly part...

Chrome accents? Sounds like you need to spend some quality time at Pep Boys in the rice, er, I mean accessories isle. Good luck, you should also check out the flame stickers and the LED exhaust tips...

Chrome trim seems to be one of those subjects where no one is on the fence - you either like it or hate it.

Guess which side I'm on
