ok so ive been exploring this website for abt 2 weeks now and this is my situation sorry if its a little hard on the eyes... i currently have an 05 Altima wit 75k on it here she is



well my friend has an 05 tc nautical blu wit 50k on it and we were thinkin of trading she likes my car and i like hers...i was wondering should i do it? i kno the tc is way more mod friendly...she didnt get the extended warranty so its only covered up to 60k and mine is covered to 115k hers has higher resale..my situation has its pros and cons...i would like to kno if its worth it...maybe some of u older guys would like 2 shed some light on this situation...or any1...any comments appreciated thanks in advance!!

What is yours worth in trade value? Do you owe anything on it? Does she owe anything on hers? There's a lot of info we'd need to help you decide. As of the info I got now... I say trade yours into a dealer and buy a new tC... but would need more info still.

mines worth 9k hers is worth 11k both still arent paid off so we dont even know if its even possible to do....thats what i was planning on doing...trading it in for maybe another tc...

 

since both arent paid off. Yall both have to qualify for the amount on each others loan for the cars. you could probally find a newer model for a little more if you have the money to spend?

You can't just switch cars and pay the other persons loan. I guess you could but that could cause problems. Just trade your car in and buy a new one. I'm sure the tC monthly payments will be lower then the Altima. You could always have your friend sell the tC and buy your car and then pay your loan off and use the rest for a down payment on a new tC.

 

just be cautious so u nor her gets screwed.

 

If I'm just looking at a straight up trade, I say its a decent trade. tC just seems like it'd be more fun of a car than the altima, just be careful though!

yeah i agree im looking for doing this trade str8 up...im not gonna pay her loan off and let her pay off mine...she owes like 10k on her tc and i owe 14k so yea...im assuming its possible now...

dont get it. You say you want to trade cars but dont want to pay her loan off? How exactly do you want to do this?

 

If you owe 14K and her 10K, I would just forget about it cuz that means your car is worth less then what you owe so you're upside down in your payments. The reason I say that is you said earlier that your car is worth less then her tC and a 05 tc is worth about $14-15K in trade.

Just trade your car in for a new tc.

 

well i kbb'd my alti and it showed a little under 10k for it...i also kbb'd the tc and it gave me like 13 k or sumtin...and to make it clear i guess were jus switching names on the loans i guess?? idk if its that easy though....so shell pay off what i owe and ill pay off what she owes...

 

Its a Nissan. Id swap it for a Toyota any day.

 

If that's the case take it! Your car is worth 10K and you owe 14K and her is 13K and owes 10K. It's a no brainer but she's getting screwed. Also I don't think it will be that easy to just switch loans.

 

what you could do is pay her the difference of both cars but then it's like just trading your car in for a new one. but huh didn't you post up that you recently crashed your car..
