and from what I hear the 60W to 65W is not a big enough jump to fry the harness. worth a try.
hahaha.............
The difference between them and the regular silverstars will not be that much I do believe. There's only so hot a halogen light can burn before burning it's filament out. Hence, the reason halogen can not reach HID temperatures/light output is b/c it would burn up the instant it turned on. Halogen lights will only be so white before then begin to actually put out less visible light and more color light.
Just like the HID lights, Kelvin temps on the packages of halogen bulbs are the same. Higher the temp (K), lower visible light is emitted. Lower temp (K), more visible light and more yellow. 4000K is probobly around the most a halogen could put out safely without compromising it's longevity and heat output. Regular SilverStars should be more than enough for our cars. I have them with the Rockblocker overlays on the lenses and they give off a slight HID look. Great visibility at night too.

Nice for look, ____y for driving in the rain or at night. As close to 5000 K as you can get is optimal light out put. Pure white is around 4500-5000 K.
im getting 5000k hids for lows, and JDM yellow bulbs from luminics for fogs :D
.... then again i just may get 2 sets of JDM yellow and do yellow all around... anyone know if ill have problems with johnny law if i do that? the light output is awesome (ive had yellows before and loved them... but i got in an accident and the yellows were in the fogs at the time, and 1 bulb broke and i didnt wanna drive around with 1 yellow and 3 stocks....)
