I'm about to get my tC window tint. My car color is Silver Metallic...But i'm still debating on what kind of tint to get. either go with the typical charcoal/black tint 20% or the silver mirror reflective tint. Which one do you guys think looks better on the silver tC? any one have silver tC with black tint or mirror tint please share your pix. thanks much.

I'm thinking of doing mirror reflective 20% on all my side windows....and regular charcoal 35% on the big rear window to match up nicely with the black panaromic roof...i'm thinking it would be kindda weird to have mirror reflective tint on the rear window...thought that would be conflict with the black roof? any suggestionsss....

 

please don't do mirror just get charcoal black.. it makes the silver pop more imo

that's what i'm thinking too...but since i saw too many tC with charcoal tint...thought i wanna do somthing different to stand out a bit....but would u suggests go with 20% or 35% charcoal would be good enough....i like 20% look but still wants to stay away from cops.

 

It really depends on where you live but I think 35% would probably be safe about anywhere. But....it all depends on the cop...

 

i have 5% on my backs and did have 35% on my front of my BSP and i got pulled over

 

that's what i don't want to happen to me. I heard that you don't want the rear window to be too dark maybe not less than 20% cuz cop usually see or shoot their radar gun from behind you to get the tint reading.

 

Lol, dude if you are worried about being pulled over for tint, dont tint your windows. And if you do, go black or dont do it.

I live in Seattle, WA. As far as i know mirror tint could be illegal even if I go for 35%...but then again we see some Lexus RX 300 have OEM mirror tint all around...so i don't really know...i guess it all depends on the cop.

 

Well you are in a state with horrible tint laws, 70% front, 70% rear, 50% back window. If you get 20% you will more than likely get pulled.

Say what? Whoever told you that is high on crack. As long as you have 2 side mirrors, you can tint
your rear window(s) as dark as you want. If you're not sure what % tint is legal in your state, just go
with 5% on the hatch window and 35% on the rest. I have 20% on the hatch and 35% all around
and I really wish I would have done 5% on the hatch.

 

Not true... It varies state to state... In MA you can't go lower that 35% on ALL windows (including rear window) unless the car/truck comes factory with it.

i have 35% all around and it looks good. No problems with cops either.

 

Only certain color RX has that bronze tint which makes it look reflective.
