In this first picture, I've replaced all the bulbs on the drivers side of the car (the right side of this picture) with the Silverstar Ultras. It's obvious that they are much whiter and brighter and don't exhibit any of the yellow tint of the stock bulbs.



Here is a picture of the headlights on Bright, Silverstar Ultras again are whiter with a slight tinge of blue.



And finally, two close up pics of the headlight housings. The upper photo is the passenger side which has the stock bulbs and is noticeably yellow, while the lower picture is the drivers side, which has the Silverstar Ultras installed, and it's noticeable whiter with just a slight blue hue.

You did all your lights? lows, highs, and fogs? They look good by the way!

That look great! I just installed my high, low, and fogs. I can not wait until it is dark outside. haha. It is a fairly cheap upgrade and very easy to install!

So are Silverstar Ultras whiter (brighter) and have a slightly more bluer tint than regular Silverstars? I did the high beam conversion and it is brighter but does not look like it has a bluish look to it. To my naked eye, the light output just looks like a regular high beam halogen conversion. Although, it might be because I'm used to it but I'm pretty sure it does not look like the pics Joes06tc took.

I was told that Silverstars And Silverstar Ultras were the same.

So is the 168 bulb the smaller light bulb? What product you use for that to make it bluish?

The 168 bulb is the parking bulb.

Now what Im wondering is where can I get a blue 168 bulb?
(non-led cause we all know the heat from the halogens will kill the LEDs within a few hours)

My ultras have a slight purple hue at certain angles.

Saw them at Auto Zone yesturday.....and at Shucks.....they are also the same bulb as 194......they had red and blue and amber ones......

what sylvannia bulbs are closest color looking to 5000k (LED-like/diamond white)? the regular silverstars are white compared to my 5000k hids. i'm thinking cool blue or ultra, but i'm asking first so i dont spend 50 bucks or whatever for a pair of bulbs that are off.

I just want something white and brighter than stock and still stay street legal.

ill pick some up this week.

also is there a tutorial on how to swap out the bulbs or is it an easy straight forward swap?

It's an easy unplug and plug in the new bulb swap, for the 2005-2007's; not sure how it is with the '08. I'm looking into the rest of your questions; I'll have the rest of the info posted up in just a minute.

The highs size for '05-'07 is 9005, it's an HB3 Halogen. The lows for the same years are 9006, an HB4 Halogen.

The foglights are 9006, too.

Looking for the '08.

Ill pick a couple sets up at kragen before I head to work.

I loathe the oem bulbs, it doesnt light up anything and look really yellow.

Picked up the ultraa Today and had them installed

They still look yellow with a purple hue

Gotta wait until night time to check

BTW how do u change the yellow parking light?

So how does everyone like this setup at night? Is the light output better or is it just changing the OEM yellowish to more of a white tint, but not offering a upgrade in the lighting?
