I wish I knew; if it were good I'd have already gotten a pair for myself. I'm still using the OEM bulbs (getting my moneys worth).

 

I have the Ultra's paired with the PIAA Parking lights. The Ultra's just cleaned up the yellow it was projecting. If you are driving on a well lit street, you will see no diffrence at all compared to stock. If you are driving on a dark road and no other cars coming, you will see that they are much whiter.

They are not HID so if you want bright, buy a kit and retrofit your stock housing. I want HID but I don't know how to bake or anything and knowing me i'll screw it up so I just replaced the bulbs. I'm happy with them

 

Just replaced my two low beam silverstar ultra head lights before a year of having them. I will give a word of advice, do not mess with your head light housing or touch the bulbs after installing them (leave them be!). I believe the lights will hold up after making that point.

 

One of my ultras blew out. It's been like 4 months though.

 

get HIDs and stop wasting money on halogens.

 

Yeah thats the route I'm about to go, still researching on it though.

 

Just don't get anything over 6000k. 6000k is blue enough, if that's what you want.

so does anyone have any info. on what kind of bulbs the 08's use? I've looked, but all i can find is the info for the 05-07's, and i know the 08's dont use the 9005 or 9006.

 

I think the 08 use H11 size bulb

 

For the love of pete please don't put HID's in the 05-07 tc headlights.

08's and up with the projectors only please. One day when someone glares me because they have HID-ness in my eyes i'm going to crash into them on purpose and blame their lights.

 

HIDs in the 08 projectors look very nice. my gf has 6000K HIDs in hers.

 

I like that idea, there is a guy at work that has a "Mickey Thompson" lift (front 2" higher than rear) on his '07 Chevy Siverado, he is running what looks like 12000k HID's in stock reflector housings. I purposely slow down if he is following me so the MFR will pass me.

idgaf 8k hids in 07 tc ftw...next 4300k hids in the sequoia, just to irritate other drivers in arizona. inlcuding rczdesigns

i agree with RCZdesigns. i hate people around where i live who have stock reflectors with HIDs. they always blind me from behind and in front which gets very annoying. if your put HIDs, dont half-___ it and do it the right way.
