Default smoked ligts, product review

Looking to smoke out my TBL, wondering if anyone has any reviews for film vs spray and products if possible.

Most will say film but I couldn't justify the price for tinting my lights. I just bought two cans of VHT NightShades from Advanced Auto Parts (about $24 total) and I was able to tint my tails + TBL with more than half a can left, which I plan to do my headlights some.

You can go as dark as you want and remove it just as easily whereas film, if you want darker you'll have to buy more + shipping. Its cheaper with VHT is pretty much what I'm trying to get at here lol.

i've used both and installing the vinyl isn't easy but also with the spray it was difficult to find the right clear coat in my area...as for removing the spray i used paint thinner and no it did not damage my headlights and taillights and it was alot easier than sanding it down and rebuffing/polishing the lights.

ive used both also, and i do have to say i choose spay over vinyl as i feel i have more control over the darkness and i can make it look the way i want it to look and much more easier to work with, vinyl isnt easy to work with...

I've done both - film is easy on the TBL, because it's a flat surface. Did film on the OEM TBL, then bought a clear 'full' Oznium TBL before they came out with the smoked version. Did VHT on that.
Never tried film on tails, always used VHT.
Can't really see it, but the first (old) pic shows the OEM TBL with film, VHT on the tails. Don't have a pic of the VHT TBL, but it's much darker - you can go as dark as you want with spray too. Film is consistent 'color' wise, spray can vary in darkness level, if you don't know what you're doing - especially on tails.
I'll sell the TBL with film, if anyone wants it.

Some lacquer thinner, a rag and 5 minutes will remove VHT. Also if it makes you happy, which it does for me, some polish and wax in-case the thinner dulls the plastic some.

I used vinyl on my stock TBL which came out great.. but then i upgrade to Oznium dark smoke full TBL and it's great as well... but becarefull not to over tighten it as i broke screw number 3 on 2 oznium TBL's althought i have no problems of any kind with it, no leaks etc... great product, affordable and looks great.
