ok heres my prob....drivin home just alil bit ago i heard aloud bang on the side of my car i drove to the nearest gas station and looked and some F*CK head egged my car ....i took it to the car wash and washed all the egg off but wen i looked i guess it was were the egg busted on my door the shell scratched into the paint leavin a circle of wat looks like "cuts" into the paint from wat i could tell its not dented just scratched threw the paint...im really glad i diddnt see who did it i think i would of killed them but i was wondering if anyone knows of anything i could use to make it less noticeable.....ill have pix up in the mornin wen i get up im goin to see how it looks in the daylight....but if anyone knows of anything that would "lighten" up the frickin scratches it would be helpful....thanks

 

nothing. Eggs are quite possibly one of the worst things that can be hurled at a car.

as you see, the egg shell upon impact will shatter into make small sharp pieces that will cut the paint down to the metal. there's nothing that can be done to lessen the look besides adding touchup and wetsanding it down level or repainting the panel.

 

...it really blows...it hit rite in the middle of the passenger side door and spread all the way to the taillight......i could not have been more pi$$ed...only thing i can think to do untill i can get it repainted is slappin on a graphic to cover it up...but then i feel cheap bc i kno that all i did was cover it up instead of fixing it.....im really hopin that it wont be that noticable in the day light..but i dont think that will happen bc i can see it pretty good at nite...im actually scared to go look at it in the day time.....

 

Yeah a buddy of mine got egged and your are ____ out of luck unless you want to take it to a body shop or dealer and have that door or side repainted however bad it is. Sorry dude, and good luck!

mine wasnt an egg, was one of those paper soda fountain cups, the very bottom left a circle whipple mark on my passenger rear quarter panel.

i got over it. $hit happens
