I just got word that somebody hit my parked Flint Mica in front of my house.

I haven't even seen it yet since I'm at school. (car-pooled with a buddy) From what I'm told the front bumper got hit. Supposedly its not that bad BUT STILL I'm freaking ____ed off and so close to busting someone's head open.

I've managed to keep my car scratch and dent free for months! Every time I wash it I get compliments on how perfect the condition of the paint and body are in.

That's some ___ ish man!!! Hope the damage isn't that bad!! Maybe the 3rd week of school some idiot who wasn't paying attention when he was backing up and backed into my xB. Oh how I was ____ed. Its was a Pinzgauer that hit me (if you google it you'll see how big it is). But luckily I was in the car when he did it.

 

i was in class bout to go to my next class to take a midterm when my girl calls me tellin me that someone hit my car....07 white tc wit a bumper pushed in and paint scratched off aint a good look.......was able to push the bumper back out but gotta take care of the paint now.....

 

Thats why wherever i go my baby goes. And if shes not there shes locked in the garage. Plus have a 2 way pager helps to when she is with me. But i did have my car keyed horribly the 2nd week i got it. But i didnt have an alarm nor a garage to park it in. But i have had my car for 2 years now..

hey just get a body kit from the insurance if its a lot :D

 

Okay, so heres an update. It's not the end of the world, but my car did indeed get rocked.

Turns out my neighbor backed out of his driveway this morning with his back window completely iced over and did not see my car in the spot it's in EVERY SINGLE MORNING. So his Grand Marquis' left rear hit that spot between my front left wheel and the bumper and pretty much pushed it forward.

I've got some paint missing, a huge dent right of the headlight, scratches on my wheel (thank god they're still stock or I'd be really ____ed), and my front bumper sort of sags to the side. You can pull on it and see CAI's cone filter from the outside

The guy wasn't a jerk about it. He apologized about a million times and provided his insurance information.

I've got pictures on my cell that I have no way of getting online. Real pictures will come tomorrow.

eh sum 1 hit mine in a parking garage as well so i kno tha feeling...but im bak 2 normal got tha whole car repainted thru insurance so its actually better cuz the factory paint sucked and they used quality paint this time.....now when i wax that red just takes my breath away when tha sun hits it...hell i can see my cars reflection in red cars even..sucks to be my insurance company because they had to pay to replace the top and bottom rs1 grills $$$$ lol

I'm more sad now than angry. Before I found out I had planned on washing my baby and cleaning up them wheels. Now I don't even want to look at her.

 

new fenders new bumper and some new clips and it'll be good as new!

 

bumper seems fine. just a new fenders. call the cops then insurance then buy cf fenders.

I'm not sure how fast he was going, but I'm assuming he must have been in a huge rush. He said that his back window wasn't defrosted so he misjudged how far away my car was.

Yeah right! My bumper was scratch free before and now it isn't. I know it seems like a waste to replace such a large piece, but I shouldn't have to live with those scratches because somebody else messed up.

Besides, his insurance is covering it.

damn, atleast you know who did it, i got hit bit some sorta box ((not an xb) like a wooden or somethin from a truck, didnt get the plates) and it dented my passenger side fender.... so I dont have any way to get anyone but my insurance to cover it.... im just gonna pay to have it done myself, being that insurance deductible would cost me $500.... might be less just to pay for it myself....

 

Perhaps. I've never really put much thought into a body kit though. In fact, I pretty much don't know a damn thing about body kits. The only one I really find attractive is the Obsidian kit. That would be too much though...I don't even know how the wheelbase would be expanded to fill the wheel wells if I got that kit. Plus, can paint shops match Flint Mica?

Besides, if his insurance is paying for it, aren't they just going to write a check to wherever I decide to take it and only pay for an oem replacement? If they're going to write me a check I'll think twice about a kit.

As of now I'll be happy with OEM replacements.

I'm supposed to hear from the guy this evening. He should have already contacted his insurance by now and all that jazz.
