Well I made it to the dealership @ 7:45am for my appointment to have the molding put on. In their notes they had windshield motor, not molding. So after an hour I get called back up to the front where they say they can't do it and they put me on the phone with the auto glass company they use.

Luckily, yesterday when I was at the first dealership that said they couldn't do it I also made an appointment at another local auto glass shop, in preparation for me arriving to the 2nd dealership and them saying they can't do it as they inevitably did, for 9am so after leaving the dealership I go to the auto glass shop where this happened while they were removing the old molding



And naturally they didn't have my windshield in stock so it could be replaced so I have to go back at 2pm to have the new windshield and molding put on.

So I make it home and decide to take a pic of the damage and naturally my glove box will not unlock so I had to go back to the dealership for them to fix that so i'm just now posting.

All I wanted to do was get the molding put on and wash the car

And I know what you mean, I'm just saying that in terms of 'how dumb could that dealership possibly be.'

Jee sounds like something A&A would do! Oh wait, they did! They dropped my carbon fiber Kaminari hood & claimed I brought it in like that, yet....the chips had wet clear coat on it.

That's nuts. I just got a nice rock CHUNK in my windshield. It looks way worst because my whole windshield is tinted. At least your getting it fixed

 

To those that have done that swap to the sunroof on Specs are few and I'll give them props for getting it done. I spent $2,300 on my swap. lol, Well it got me a tC that's 2 years newer. It sucks to see your window cracked and the runaround to get a piece of molding installed.

 

New windshield is on w/ the new molding.

Its raining like the dickens so now I get to see how well it is sealed

awesome job! I actually want the spec roof because I never use my moonroof. I jus keep it tilted upwards never actually open it. great job bro!

 

Question...are the spec headliners different?

 

I think the only difference is for the sunroof switch, could be wrong.

 

hmm that is a good question, I think they don't have the button but everything else should be the same no? I think they still have the curtain slider thingy
