Default spoiler?

Hi,
My husband has a TC and he's thinking of getting one of the pedestal spoilers (from scionpartspeople.com) and replace his lip spoiler that came on his car. Does anyone know if these are interchangable... as far as mounting is concerned? (He doesn't want to have to redrill the holes for the screws if possible.)

Thanks

The dealer told me that they were , there was a flint mica I almost bought a month ago but I wanted the pedistal and it had the lip, they were going to change them out for me but I never got the car, had too much stuff on it I did not want. Call your dealer and see what they tell you about it.

they are not. the lip spoiler (assuming that you get the oem scion one...) requires four holes to be drilled across the trunk. the pedestal spoiler's holes are not in the same positions.

just got a new TC spoiler. A prototype. my friend told me that they sell this spoiler in Elk Grove Scion dealership... the wing is made by Viniati . . Is it easy to do it myself or do i need to go to a shop. and one thing great about this is its already paint to match our tc .

Definitely not the same holes... If he already had the lips spoiler, then he's pretty much stuck with it unless you get the hatch repaired at a body shop.

When the guy at the dealer installed mine, he used a center punch to mark the holes and put 4 nice sized dents and chipped the paint away on all 4 holes. I was standing there with my jaw on the ground, watching this Neanderthal butcher my new car.

Get that spoiler at your own risk. I discovererd yesterday that the extremeties of the "wing" itself bang against the body when the trunk is being shut or the car is going over a bump. Now I have nice body and paint damage because I thought the pedestal spoiler looked "so cool." Wish I had pics.
