I don't know if this should be in aero or interior so move if necessary.
I'll be installing an aftermarket spoiler that I got off ebay this afternoon. How do I go about taking off the interior plastic pieces on the hatch so that when I drill thru I can get a nut on the bolts?

Spoiler? eBay?
This can't be good.
Anyways, this thread might help:

You'll have to scroll down a ways though - but you will get to a point where they remove the hatch stuff.

Good luck, the interior is really easy, Just a few screws, and a few tabs. But when drilling through the lid get ready for one hell of a time. Under the sheet metal is aharder metal skelatin. I dont know why I did'nt consider this when I did it but its a B@*ch to drill through. Even now my wing is a litle loose due to the crazy curves in the skelatin frame. Anyway good luck, and remember at least it'll be unique.

alright so we started the install @ 11, and ended @ 4 with a 1 hour lunch break in there. The drilling took for fricking EVER. Dear lord, seriously that interior bracing ____ is for the damn birds. Getting it aligned also took a bit. Nonetheless, it finally got installed and looks fricking awesome. It's kinda dark right now, I'll take some pictures tommorow.

I haven't had a solid couple of hours off to get them installed. They'll be put in this saturday. I'll be sure to take pics. Friday I'll be installing my PIAA 2100XT foglights behind the lower center grill. So many mods, so little time!

nah, didn't come painted. I had it painted by a local shop that I get all of my automotive stuff painted at (basically i didnt want to get paint thru the vendor because i knew that i could get a quality painting locally). But the vendor had another auction for the same spoiler that was painted (you supply the paint code). The cost for that auction was like 75 bucks more.
I'm gonna keep both of the brake lights. I know it looks kinda cheesy having a third and a fourth, but I was rearended once in each of my other two cars so im kinda paranoid of people not seeing that i'm stopped. the more brake lights the better :D
