Default Spyder tail lights?

Hey I did a search and haven't seen anyone talk about the SPYDER tails before. Does anyone have any experience with this company or more specifically their tails? Here are a few images of them. I like the black ones the best- and to smoke them myself. I was thinking about getting them.

here's a thought for you to ponder... Instead of shelling out all that green for a part that may fog up on you.... you could pop for a set of OEM rear lamps for an 08. They are clear and similar in design to the pics you posted. I'm having mine on my 08 smoked fairly soon. It will look good, and you wouldn't have to worry the quality or lack there of from cheap a$$ made aftermarket ones.
Just a thought. Not saying all aftermarket ones are crap, but just my 2 cents.

tcCAlI :While I totally would agree with you on a regular basis, both my sets are on their way out, and I have an opportunity to get these for free, so I'm wondering if I should bother. I appreciate your deeply constructive feedback though.

My tails now are actually 08's that I cracked out and smoked myself. Only I smoked them too dark and have already gotten pulled over once for them.

no-tec..... Check into this.... 3M makes a good quality thick film designed for lenses. I had it on my 06 tC and looked and held up great. Nice part is if you get hassled for them being to dark in your state, the film can come right back off and you dont have to replace the lenses. FYI.. in most states you can tint the tailights as long as they can still be seen 300 feet back at night. I got that straight from a cop's word.

Yeah in Florida the law is 500 ft. I checked out the laws afterwards. I dont really want to go with overlays. I dont think they will last years+ I appreciate the suggestion though. I guess these tails seem pretty crappy. Maybe I'll just get another pair of the stocks.

Funny tcCAlI..... the only state I know of that allows very, very dark tint legally is Arizona. I lived in Phoenix for a few years... and couldnt believe how dark you could go legally. I never went "limo" cause its a B-I-T-C-H to see out of at night. My luck I'd back out of a parking spot and hit a damn nun! :D

no worries no-tec.... just a suggestion. they do look really good if you have a shop that knows what they're doing. I live in CO and even in the harsh winters... they still looked like the day I had the 3M put on.
