Hey everyone I'm new here, just got a Scion Tc about two months ago. I've done a few things here and there to it, and I'm loving it so far. Great car. I wanted to change the tail lights from what I currently have, because I don't like the solid red tailights.

So, would these look good on a black tc?
If anyone has pictures of them already installed that would be great.

ever think of tinting the tails?

 

Yeah, I've thought about it, but I have a feeling tinting them won't look so great with black...

 

You might want to take a look at tail lights made by Anzo and TYC. You probably like them.

 

Here is my BSP with tinted tails, I think it looks great.

depends on what you wanna do, the ones that you mentioned look "ricey" in my opinion.
Smoke them if you want to have a clean look.
You don't have to smoke the whole thing like "lil_will", you could just do the top part like I did.

 

Id advise to perform a red overlay, it would look pretty good (like stock but for a different look) and just have the red overlay cut out where the reverse light is.

 

Ight man dont put them UGLY taillights on ur car, just leave the stock one it looks much better with them on..

 

Look for DOT approved due to the fact that Tails without the DOT stamp now become your issue.

 

Thats a good point, mine aren't exactly legal and by not exactly I mean not legal at all!

 

heres a picture of mine. i did them myself for like 8 bucks! i have been pulled over 3 or 4 times cuz of them good thing i didnt have gurls drinkin when it happened! i'm going back to a stock red and put these covers on. i'll post a picture of the cover too.

Good point. You dont wanna get pulled over and then end up swapping your stock tail lights.

 

i think those tail covers look a little too funky.

 

They look better color matched.

 

Where did you guys get the covers?
