Here's the general idea-

A while back I baked open my headlights, painted the shroud white and put in some angel eyes. Ever since then, I've been looking for something to do to my tails, but basically everything I've seen either looks cheesy (imo) or doesn't really go with my white headlights. Also, I'm an LED fan.

I'm thinking of getting a set of these: LINK

or these (since they're basically the same, but cheaper): LINK

then cracking them open and painting all the parts that are black on the first link so they're white instead. I'm going to photoshop an example tomorrow after work.

Opinions?

 

i will hold out on my opinion until i see it PS'd... but just imagining it, i dont think it would look all that bad considering what has been done in the front of the car

i think it would be cool.. if you have any retro/electrical skills, i would fab up a panel of superflux (square) led's for the blinker. u could basicly pick your pattern, and then paint the perf board white that the led's sit in or red.. cause halogen blinkers w/ led tail/brake is not cool.. if its gonna be led, it should all be led

 

Lol no offense meant, I just haven't ever seen tails that would compliment my whited out headlights. Now that I look, I hadn't seen your custom tails yet. Nice work.

Yeah I agree about the superflux's. I'm an electronics tech, with very little experience in the way of retrofitting... I could probably pull it off though.

Love the faux led fogs, btw.
