So I'm about to get in my trunk this afternoon and I look at my car and I go hmmm.. wtf is all this sticky stuff on my car. It then clicked that some dumbass tore off my tC letters off my car and did a pretty good job scratching it up too. Ugh!

So I took it into the dealer and they're going to give me a call back tomorrow. I can only guess at how much letters and installation would cost lol. To top it off I noticed a huge scratch of the side of my car as well. Bad luck today! haha

Anyone else have people who attracted to shiny things that have damaged your car? lol

 

why dont you just leave it badgeless? not ur cup of tea? if you wanna get the gunk off, get a hair blow dryer, heat it up and just start picking at it with your hands. then get some degreaser or rubbing alcohol to get the rest of it off.

 

goo-gone also works wonder. sucks about the scratch though run to the auto store and pick up some meguiar's scratchX and give that a whirl.

 

^^^Agreed. Scratch-X goes with me everywhere. The stuff works wonders.

And I think badgeless would be a good way to go. Im not a huge fan of the huge tC logo and IMO a badgeless car looks cleaner.

 

Yeah I don't mind losing the tC letters. In fact, I like it without them. The thing that ____ed me off though is I have a DEEP scratch on my car from their carelessness.

Otherwise it wouldn't a biggie. I'd pick up some touch up paint from my dealer and that'd be that, but this thing is pretty deep that I'm not sure what to do with it.

Oh I got off the sticky stuff.. I just peeled that off.

 

Lets see the long list of bad things that have happened to me.
Car was keyed in 2 places after 2 weeks of ownership.... 1 12" gauge on the hood, and 1 24" gauge on the drivers door. A week later i was rear ended. A while later i was ran off the road in a hit and run accident. My car was later hit with a baseball in the rear quarter panel, which left a dent, and recently, someone knocked off my side view mirror, which i had to replace.

Oh yea.... someone stole one of my side inserts too - one of the pieces of the front grill.

Its not like i live in a bad neighborhood either, i guess people are just jealous or something...

 

Compared to thequitthings, finch got off easy, lol

 

i guess ive got off relatively unscathed... the only thing htat's happened to my car is someone stole my TBl overlay.

 

I got a huge dent from a car door after having my tc for only a week. Then I noticed a tiny piece of the bumper right under the tailight is broken off.

 

What is wrong with people!?!

That's alright the Lighting suckS anyways, GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!

Since were sharing stories, I backed into my girlfriends car the day after I got my windows tinted cracking the bumper. Some jackass opened his door into the rear qp leaving a 6" crease across the accent line (You should have seen what I did to his truck). Then the trusted Toyota dealer backed into the garage door denting the hatch after an oil change.......kinda makes me re-cosnider getting that 5% tint in the rear. And to top it off, I was cut off, and to avoid the s.o.b. I had to jump a curb, denting my downpipe. All the more reason to get a new one.

I think these cars are cursed.

Yeah I definitly agree the tc is cursed. Had mine 2 months barely been driving it, had 1043 miles on it. on my way to work (kinda slippery out but not bad) a some one on there 19th birthday didnt scrape their window and pulled away from the curb right as I was driving by and hit my car. It ruined my door qp and almost cut through my bumber. and chiped my rear wheel. cost over 4200 bucks to repair . the worst part he didn't have a liscense (wonder why????) so his insurance won't take responsibility and im still fighting them in qourt. and to top it off a parts truck slammed his door into mine while at work today . I just got the car back three days ago and just repaired that door. these things are definitly cused. [img][/img]

 

Very true, but that was 2 years ago, you've got to admit, that's not the same team they had in 04'.

If there luckey they MIGHT make the playoffs, but they won't get past the Sen's.

 

i got both my doors keyed, knew who did it, so i beat the poop outa him. then when doors where painted parked at my college campass, someone spit on my car and stained the freshly painted door. have had people throw drinks on my car, spit, even trow up on my car, curbed a rim so i wouldnt get slammed in the front by a big big big truck. had a mud rock thrown at it, did a 360 chasing the guy who did it on the strret. had a guy swing a 9 iron at my during road rage, had a bum come to my wind and burn my seat with a cigarette. had a guy in a lancer swirv his car at me. bottomed out being chased by a cop. all kinds of crazy things happen to my tc

 

Yeah, they did lose many of their best players. But that was so awesome, who would have thought the LIGHTNING would ever win a Stanley Cup.

 

im a fan also i hated when they lost all those players
