sorta noob here.. so has someone ever thought about how easy it is to unscrew the antennae on the tc? HOW should I prevent the burglar from stealing it? perhaps SUPER GLUE!?

 

Think about how easy it is to unscrew the antenna on any new car. I'm sure burglars would rather try to steal your audio equipment/HIDs rather than a $20 antenna (refering to S2000 antenna).

 

Blue threadlock/loctite. If you want something more permenant, get red.

 

The problem with securing the antenna too strong is that the thief will probably just end up breaking it off and possibly ruin something else.

 

Someone stole my windsheild wiper blades..... it was when I had my Cavalier, I bought those stupid silver wipers.... so someone decided they only wanted to bend-up the wipers and steal the blades only.... I guess they needed them pretty bad..

 

I've had my S2000 antenna stolen already in a mall when i went bowling with my scion evloution buddys. I got in my car and turned it on and put on my radio i was quite surprised to here the sound of static i thought it waas the area or FM frequency but then i realized that i had no antenna .what people steal now in days is ridiculous!

Be very happy if all they steal is your antenna. If you make it difficult, they will just destroy everything instead.

 

Exactly, don't try to secure it down. If they are stealing your antenna they're most likely some punk kid and if they can't get it they will just break it instead. This will leave you with some small stub to try to remove so you can replace it, which I'm sure will be a pain.
