the tc emblem on the back
...are we talking about the scion logo on the front or back of the car....? Because the tC logo on the hatch just...comes off....theres someone on the site that does shaved hatch handles for like 75$ and go to bbist.com for a carbon fiber one.

The silver tC symbol of the back of the trunk hatch, the actually letters that say "tC" come off with a little heat (hair dryer or a hot, sunny day), pulling, and then some buffing of the surface under it.
There is no seperate piece of the trunk hatch that holds the tC on. It is held on with double sided tape/gunk ( I say gunk cause it looks like gunk in my opinion).

You can buy a non-CF replacement thats painted straight from the dealership. You just have to go get it filled, sanded and painted smooth.
BTW that piece cost between 90-115 dollars. NOw if only i could find that website with the parts listing and prices again
