tC Makeover!!
Here's some more pic's....So after I take pictures and file a police report I see squad cars coming down the alley (which I never see). I flag down a squad car and tell him the situation and he says "You'll have to go to the station because we just got a call for a murder down the street"...let's just say I'm trying to move my family out on the first thing smoking! Just to let you know I now have camera's watching the car and a very nice alarm system now.
Since I'm newly married, have a 10 month old and one on the way due August 1st, and also trying to purchase a home....the term Budget is a word that is used vastly in my vocabulary! Don't have the money to get all the dings and scratches out and a paint job so I decided to learn the process of doing body work and painting myself to see if I could at least get my tC looking decent again. Here's some pic's of the car after being sanded down and bondo'd (1st pic was before the coilovers were installed). This was done right before winter 2010 cause I didn't want the bad Chicago winter to just eat away at my car.
Here's some pics of the car primed and stockies painted bronze. Plans for the next couple days will be to do the final sanding (1500 & 2000 grit dry sand followed by 1500 & 2000 grit wet sand) then laying down the paint. My plan is to do a combination of flat & gloss black....I know that's not popular but I like taking the road less traveled and trying out ideas I have in my head! I should have pics of the finished product by Sunday.
So sick! I would totally do this.. I have to get rid of so many little dents :/ So.. question.. u did that all under that tent? and where did u get a spray gun? Paint? etc? Looks awesome btw! In for more pics when painted
I really don't want to be mean but, WHO THE HECK TOLD YOU TO USE BONDO!??!
That stuff is horrible and cracks.
you should just try and buy some body hammers and some plastic filler or fill the dents with lead and just get a body file.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Yep....all under the tent. Got tired of hopping from one garage to the next not being able to keep my car overnight to do the job properly. I used tarps to surround the tent so that it kept any debri from getting on the car while I was working. No spray gun....rattle can and a lot of patience. Gonna start sanding now.

No problem, everybody has there opinion so I don't catch feelings.
Sorry to hear that. I too had a lot of body work to do which was a PITA! I'm not going to say the body work I did was perfect but at least my car looks decent now and I'm not riding around with bondo patches all over it anymore. Hope the new paint goes well for you!
