you can get vinyl's to put over your lights or you can get the niteshade stuff.. it depends on which set of headaches you want to deal with.
sorry i don't have the links for the how-to threads...
also keep in mind that you can get a ticket for having your tails blacked out. i have dark windows and have already gotten a ticket for that once, i changed my mind about blacking the tails out cuz i don't want to give the cops another reason to pull me over or give me a ticket.
(just tryin to help you out... do what you want with your ride.)

i know i was thinking about the chances of getting pulled over if i got them tinted but i'm not planning on going to dark i just want a light smoke...but even with that i'm sure theres a good chance i can still get pulled over...thx guys

Also, check out jonstintedtails.com you can send them for a 3 day turnaround and get them tinted as light or as dark as you want....
That's the professional way to do it.... be around for years.

yea i happened to check out that website yesterday but was debating about it since it took me so long to take off 1 light when i was trying to tint them myself...i'm still considering sending it to him if i dont have any other choices..
It is clear coated. But spray can clear coated. It's not dull, just that day it was rather musty outside. I might re-do them again but with a real auto spray can at my friends garage.
I used nightshades on the top part of my tyc tails. Really easy to tint them, I was disapointed in the clear coat though. I think it looks alot better than with all thoses stupid colors. I'll probaly redo them in the spring.
I guess it depends on what you want. If u want to get a specific shade than go with nightshades spray cuz u can control it, if u r cool with the shades that r available in overlays go with them, Or if u want to do something wild like designs or something def. go with the spray. It all depends on what you want, Just search for nightshades (I forget the company name but you'll find it) It's only a few bucks (Get at least 2)
got mine spray painted black then topped with clear coated gloss. clean, got it done at a local paint and body shop. $100 bucks. worth it because overlays are 80 bucks or something. i bought overlays before from headlight armor and rock something. didnt like them. hard for me to apply.
