wow, you're lucky. i've never seen an untinted car not fade. but you are right about the scratches. it's not worth it if it happens all the time.

Mine were laser cut and highly professionally installed. You definately got ripped off b/c mine had a 3 month install warranty and have a lifetime fade 1 yr. scratch warranty. i paid $160....go get 3M if you dont like the job they did. check my gallery
Thats a very professional stereo install you got their.

i have the same problem, i actually did a search to find your post. i have at least one scratch running vertically the length of the window on passenger and driver side. also i get these foggy looking marks when i roll it down they wipe off but its lame to wash your car and 3 days later the windows look like crap b/c you rolled them down. the guy told me to wait 3 days to roll them down. i wish i could find something to fix it b/c i payed 200 to get every window on the car tinted. incl. W/S the rest look awesome though. the only thing is they used soapy water to install it and i had marks all on my door panels that were a biscut to get off.

I have this problem on my tC as well. Should I go complain or is it a common occurance?

it common because the lines are some type of metal to heat the window.

Sunroof is a good idea. Factory Tinted glass is just a coloring injected in the glass. Offers no heat rejection of anykind. Just privacy.
