so after having the panda theme for over a year, i think its time to move on. dont get me wrong, it looks good, but im ready for a different look. problem is i dont have my white hatch or hood still. i have a stock hood, but i was debating on painting my cf kami white along with the hatch and rear cf garnish.
what do you guys think? i wish i could find someone to swap me hoods/hatch. and i would just sell but i like the look of the hood, just dont want it cf anymore.
so what should i do, should i paint the kami, or paint the stock and try to sell the kami?
also i couldnt find any SW tc's with a white reverse cowl hood, so if anyone has a pic can you please post it up, or photoshop one of mine, i suck at PS!

i owuld be glad to sell it, except i no longer have the box and shipping would be a pita, trust me, i spent 165 just getting it to me a few months ago...haha, the garnish isnt much, if i did the color change, i would try and trade for a stock one since i sold my white one to a find that ripped his off...lol

IMO it would look cleaner painted SW, but then again I don't recall any Kami's painted SW

 

i think the panda theme was so over in 2008. actually it was 2007, but scion guys were late to catch up LOL.

i would have a hard time painting over such a quality cf hood. i dunno what you should do LOL.

 

^^^yeah, thats my only problem but i think a SW reverse cowl would look super clean too, wish someone had a pic of one, or would buy this one local so i could order the fiberglass version

 

if you can hunt down some pics of kourtnei's car aka merc_tc here on SL i believe (white purple matte paint two tone.. used to be super white and red two toned)... he has a white reverse cowl hood.. not quite SW though on his current theme, if you want those you'll have to really dig for older pics. if i find any pics i'll be sure to post em up.

I say paint the hood. Try to come up with something different instead of painting it all white.

 

i have thought of leaving parts cf still, but then i figured it would just look like some crappy vinyl. kami hoods have a black edge around everything so if you were to tape up the center, you would have to go to the inside of the black line if you plan on running it to the edge, so i was just going to go all white or nothing at all

 

I am also thinking of getting rid of most of my CF. I want the clean all white look except I will keep the front lip CF.

There was one guy in LA that had the Kaminari hood painted white. You will have to search for pics because I do not remember his screen name.

 

well i found one guy while google-ing, but he had the full kit and also decals everywhere, i was hoping to see a simple clean car with the hood done in white

 

I personally would not paint it. I say sell it, get the new af-s 35mm f1.8 for your D40 awesome lens......and swap hood and hatch with someone that wants the panda theme. Garnish swap + cash since is Cf

ill be that way soon i promise, and i wanted the gold ones bad but they only come in a 45 offset. thinking of selling the rpf1's to get some sort of stag wheel setup, but still not sure

 

i have like +45 or +48 i think on my wheels. Kinda wish I had less offset so they would be more flush, but I think I would end up rubbing and I don't want that.
