Default Thinking of making more aggressive bodykits for scion tcs

Do you currently have a lip kit/ bodykit on your cars and if not, do you intend on getting one and how much would you spend? If there was a rs4.0 bodykit purchasable would you buy it?

I do not have any on my tC. The only ones I'd even consider (at all) would be the OEM lip kit or the 5Axis lip kit. Most of the full kits I've seen for the tC look awful (with Kaminari being the one exception that isn't bad). And even thinking more aggressive makes me shudder.

I'm not sure what you mean by an RS4.0 body kit though... you mean something like on the RS4.0 tC with the chrome trim and such? Cause that makes me want to throw up.

Can you elaborate?

the tC looks best when done clean. we don't need more aggressive kits we need more kits that are clean and compliment the tC's lines.

the only body kit i think is the best is the AIT widebody kit. the other ones just make them either look like space ships or something you would find in a need for speed underground game.

I need to see what the market of scion owners are looking for then I will design the kits you guys are asking for. looking to figure out which is better simple and sleek or mean and aggressive. I can't tell you which manufacture I work with (do to legal reason) one prototype was a bigger front grill simular to the mitsu. art/ evo

basically...what they probably want most, atleast what i would, is fitment, great fitment is the key, it sucks having to work and cut and trim and mold body kits to fit and look right more than anything.

Theres nothing "fishy" going on at all just starting a new line up and looking to find out what scion owners are looking for theres nothing wrong with that

fitment can be great leaving the warehouse and due to shipment reasons or the factory car being a tad off can leave to that hassel but with more time being spent on that issue hopefully that will be fixed believe it or not every car can be a little off hardly ever can you get two identical kits to fit "perfect" to the same vehicle.

bad fitment because of something slightly wrong with the car and bad fitment because the product wasn't properly constructed are 2 different issues entirely. Even during shipping nothing bad enough should happen to the kit where something needs some heavy duty work in order to fit right.

So far I think the verdict is - clean and simpe with great fitment

This pretty much sums it up.

And no I would not buy that kit. I already own a Flint Mica and that color is to close.

i wouldn't get the rs4 kit if i had the change. the tC already comes from the factory with smooth lines so a body kit isn't necessary. smooth lip kits like the oem kit and the 5axis kit are what most people are after because they compliment the tC's lines the best. many also chose the RS1 kit which is a decent kit for it's price tag. if you want to catch the eyes of us tC owners, you'll have to develop a nice lipkit that will compete well with oem, 5axis, and the RS1 skit.

the problem with most of the aftermarket bodykits for the tC is the fact that they have an angular look to them while the stock body has a smooth round design on most of the edges.

AIT bodykit complements the body

the garbage we are trying to avoid....

Seems that there isn't a need for more kits but a need for more lip kits

not true, if you could make a body kit that LOOKS GOOD you'd sell it.

thats the problem though, you have to make the body kit look good. you could design a lip kit and then mold it to a bumper and sell that

well i think we could use some both full body kits and lip kits that complement the tC's lines. the AIT isnt bad but most people don't want to go widebody.

here take a look at some RSX body kits. most of them are clean and that's what we are looking for

simple and clean with great fitment. Not aggressive at all.

Basically the 5 axis kit is PERFECT. it fits PERFECT enough that I installed it myself without the help of a body shop. And it doesn't make new lines on the cars, just extends and accents the existing ones.
