car is flint mica and i cant decide btw 20% and 30%. i want it dark, but i need to see some other FM's. so post pics of your tint and vote.

probally wont be a HUGE difference in the 2, but id say 20% because its too damn hot down here?

here is my tc with legal tints....on sunny days or from this angle its hard to see it but on low lit days its abit easier. i like it but i've thought about going a little darker, but i dont feeling like pay for tickets. i'd say go 20

 

legal down here in NC is 35% but if your coming to scion customs...I got you ;)

 

haha ya im leaning towards 20. i had 35 on my altima, which was a white car, but was never hassled by the police, even with everything else done to my car : ). im going to go next weekend to get it done so ill make a decision. thanks for the imput.

 

hey man.. i say go limo tint all the way around.. well if you want it to look good.. just my opinion.. FYI... i have a suspended license so take my advice w/ some vicodin.

 

Honestly 20% is not that dark, I got 20% on my rear and sides and I can perfectly fine. I have 35% and its barely noticeable as well.

 

If you go 30%, you'l regret it. I went 20% on the rear windshield and back windows and 35% on front windows. At first I loved it, but after a week, I wish I had gotten 20% all around.

 

i have 30% and it is light. i dont really regret it, but if i could do it over again, i would get 20 on the rear two and hatch and 30 on the driver and passenger front.

 

just go the darkest law allows and it will save you time and money in the future.

LOL i'm on the only one who voted for 30%. I voted that because it says your from New York and I'm pretty sure NY law is pretty strict on the tints so I just voted for the lighter ones. rear 3 windows go with 20% and front go with 55%. It works out just fine and you won't get pulled over for it. Good luck on your decision.

I have 16% all around and it looks great on sunny days as well as overcast days. Also, the car stays cool.

 

I have 35% and I mean its dark enough. But sometimes I wish I went with 20 or 15 just because I like the way it looks, also has more privacy.

 

I have 30%, i like it, but its all personal pref. In some light 30 is still very transparent. As soon as i go it done though, i realized how many people that have tints, are darker than legal. Id go darker.

 

Get 5% on the back and $20 on the sides.

 

dude.. 230 for window tint? more like 150.. ticket is about.. yeah 140... but if you take it off.. signed off it's only 10 bucks.. then retint is around 50 bucks..

60 bucks.. not bad i'd say.. just roll down ur windows.... americandesi... that's wht i had b4 n then decided to go 5% all the way around after my 1st ticket. call me crazy.. but i like it.

 

$20 on the sides? Ballin. Damn 230 for tint... I got mines for $120 at a reputable place for all 5 windows, 3M ish too. Than again It was a group thing of 4 people.

 

I'm kinda stuck with the same problem as you. I might just to legal tint for the front two windows and darker on the back.
