Default tint spray/paint

hey-does anyone know where i can get tinted paint for windows? i'm going to have my tail lights tinted, but i was trying to find something that i can mix and put into a spray gun. my boy's body shop is gonna do it for me, but he told me that if i can get a pint of something that he can mix and put into the spray gun, it would look much better. if i have to use the VHT i guess i will, but i'm trying to find actual tint paint.

I used VHT Nightshades on my last car... and will do it again on my TC

Tail lights had 3 coats of VHT on them. All i did was clean them and paint. I waxed them with the car. They were a little rough, but a little 2000 grit sand paper / buff would make them glossy as glass.

wouldn't the one layer of bsp make it so that no light shines through? if i can't find anything else to do it with, i guess i'll just use vht night shade.

Question about the night shade - if you were going to do your tail lights, would you spray the inside or the outside of the light?

You could do either, but spraying the outside would be a heck of a lot easier.

Spraying the outside gives the look you want (i think you want) If you do the inside you have what looks like plastic over your paint. I would look funny. Painting the ouside makes it look really nice. I was in love with my tails after i did them.

i believe that any regular factory clear coat will work perfectly. as far as the overlays, i tried putting them on, but they just weren't that good(i didn't do a good job). they bubbled and i messed it up basically. if i knew someone who could do the overlays for me and do a good job, i would've gone that route. it's just annoying to keep buying overlays that u messed up and then still not having them look right.
