well i finally got around to getting the tint job. me and 2 other friends went to cartronix off of I45 in houston. They gave us a great price of $100 including tax for each car! however i would not recommend them to anybody because they have some bad service. the guy tracked mud into my car! MUD!! and he was standing on the door sill while tryin to do the eybrow. i was like wtf?! get a chair!! they were doin my car right before they closed up shop and it seemed like a rushed job because they left a mess in my car and some scrap pieces of tint was still on the windows. they did an ok job on the tint..a few bubbles just came up today but i have the lifetime warranty to fix that. well here are some pics. i think it look great! 20% all around and 5% eyebrow.
*EDIT* i jus noticed this but in the first pic u can see wut i drove as my first car! lol

damn u hav 5% all around?! thats crazy! 20% is already buggin me i cant even imagine 5% at nite..and guess wut i just found out..the tinting place jacked my sunglasses! wtf?!

 

Looks great! I need to get mine done soon. How far down does the eyebrow come - about 6"? Sorry about your sunglasses, you'd better go back tomorrow and see about getting them back.

 

yeh i think the eyebrow is 6"..bought an inch below the rear view mirror..its a lil too low for my taste tho..i shoulda got 5"

 

Good luck passing inspections in TX. You know that the shops use light meters to see if a tint job is illegal right?

^^thnx i like em too! yeh i noe passing inspection is gonna be difficult, but then again there are plenty of shops out there that dont check that hard. my friend with 5% on his celica just rolled down the windows when he went

 

if you were in CA you would get pulled over in no time... looks really good, i wish i could do that too.

nice tint. i have 20 all the way around. should have told you to go to stereo fx. they do it for 80 bucks or so. but its in the northside

 

damn $80?! wut brand tint? i was considering stereo fx but cartronix was like down the street from me
