Default Tinted Tailsss

So im buying these tail lights soon and i want to tint them really dark.
I dont have a lot of time on my hands with school and work to buy VHT tint paint and paint them black so would i be able to buy a whole tail light overlay, and use a razor blade and cut them to the way i like?? Or would that not work...

I posted a picture on what i want. The green inside would be tinted with the overlay and the red would be left alone.

Thanks guys

I am not a fan of the tint overlays. But I don't see why you couldn't cut it to fit. Just keep in mind that putting those overlays on is a huge PITA! If you wanted painted you could always check out jonstintedtails.com

You could cut the overlays with a razor. Just be careful with the soft plastic. I like having overlays because i have the option to take them off. I need to redo mine though. Take your time with the overlays and you can make them look good. Order some blubatmobile overlays and tint the tails. I found that just using my hands to squeegee the water/soap mixture out from under the overlay works best with the least defects. That's what I found most comfortable for me, some can do it the regular way.

Yep i was gonna order them from there. I tinted my eyelids with some overlays so its not a problem doin it. Just wondering if it was possible without it looking crappy.

i was actually gonna do that to mine...but after some more thought...i think that it would b too much hassle to do it and red looks good on BSP anyway

I got the smoked version of these tails and I was thinking about blacking them out too. How much does blacking out tails effect the lights visibility and what is the best way to blacken out the tails without an overlay?

I can post some pictures tomorrow for you guys. I have dark tinted anzo tails on my nbm tc. visibility is not an issue, cops wont pull you over if your 3rd brake light isn't tinted. and there is no way to blacken out tailights without an overlay unless you go to a shop and have them done like mine, or use vht niteshades. Bluebat also offers overlays that aren't that dark

oh idk, well me and himam re in a dilema, i sent him out my interior in like beginning oh july and it got lost in the mail i guess so he did another one and said he was gonna finish and ship the next day which was like 4 weeks ago and he said he is totally swamped with work and i was his last out of state customer.

i mean ur not far from me and i would def do them but im at school, maybe we could figure out a way when i come home to meet up or somethin but it think it'd be too complicated and its gettin colder out
