i was thinkin about tinting my tc. i wanted maybe 20% on the sides (front and back) and a little less, like 15% on the rear hatch window, is it legal to tint the rear hatch? well i was just wondering if some guy could tell me how much they tinted and what it cost so i can kinda get a price in mind

yea its pretty dark...it seems like its gotten lighter since i got it but it could be just my eyes getting used to it
ran me about 90 bucks

 

all five windows cost that much i thought it would be more

but 20% is darker than 5% right
so it would probably cost more

 

no 5% is twice as dark as 20%...5 is limo tint which is illegal

 

i got 5% and love it. yea its really dark but u get used to it... got mines for $120 all the wat around, the price shouldnt change by the 5% of tint but the amount of windows it goes on...two front, two quater panels, and hatch for me

 

ok so 5% is twice as much as 20% so are there other levels of tint or just those two. i thoguht i read that in CO where i live anything above than 27% is illegal. does that mean that the lower the % the darker i dont get it really. wats the cost of the ticket of illegal tint

 

mine is 10% all the way around *knocks on wood* only been stopped once, but got away tho lol

the tint % is the % of light that can pass through. so 20% is darker than 35%, since there is only 20% transparency vs. 35%

depends how much of an a$$ the cop is lol
i only got a warning for my tint, but they can fine you and if they catch you again, make u take the tint off, then if u dont do w/in 30 days they fine u agian lol thats how it is in florida

 

20% is pretty good.. I had a friend with darker before and it was hard to see backing up and parking against a curb without winding down the windows..

Around here they give you fix it ticket for anything lower than 35% Down in florida near naples most cops arnt too worried about tint unless your windshield is tinted all the way down..

 

This is 35%. Pic is at night, but it's that dark during the day as well. You can't easily see in the car.

i got pulled over for my tint, i payed $100 for limo on the back and 20% in the front, when the cop pulled me over he put the laser on my windows and it said it was 13%, ticket cost $138

 

yep, i just got mine tinted 5% all around and 35% on the windshield, illeagle as hell but it looks awesome!

 

it prob said you had 13% because whatever % tint you get put on is on top of the slight factory tint

Well I also have 35% tint and I personally do not feel that it is dark enough. Probably 20%-25% would be perfect. Here's a shot of my tint, you can see right through the windows pretty easily. I would have gone darker, but I didnt want the cops all over me...still, I might get it darker later.
