Default tinting headlights and fogs with hids

So I'm considering nightshading my headlights and vrd fogs, not pitch black but a decent tint. My question is has anyone else done this while having HIDs? Did the tint alter the color very much? I have 6k in my headlights and 3k in my fogs I'm just worried the lights coming out as odd colors. Any impute appreciated.

I have my headlights tinted and have no problems with the light going through. The color is exactly the same, it is a little dimmer though but still brighter than stock. I drive with my lights on all the time and have never had a problem with the cops either.

OP,

In my experience with Night Shades, unless you're putting on a HEAVY tint, they will not alter the color of the headlights, however, like Vulkinator said, they will not be as bright with the tinting.

Also, if you don't want the tint to appear dull, considering separating the headlight lens and spraying the INSIDE of the lens. Doing this will keep the shiny plastic look.

x2, well i had them smoked with vinyl before i removed it and baked them.

as for the vrds if you open them, then you have to reseal it with silicone sealant and then use a hot glue gun to go over it but becareful because the glass can easily crack

No to silicone unless u plan never to open them again without breaking the fogs.

Say YES to material containing BUTYL ... ex: 3M Ribbon Seal.

Yes you can bake the fogs, but the sealant they use is very cheap so get the butyl stuff. Good luck baking the headlights also ;) haha.

^the headlights are really easy to bake and there would be no point in rebaking the fog lights which i why i said to use silicone, either he is 100% sure that he wants to spray the inside of the fog lights or he can just cover the glass in vinyl and then remove it if he doesn't like it. all up to the OP but what he wants to do is easy or at least for me...

well, don't know if its the OP's first time baking headlights... =) just a word of caution, hehe. it is messy the first time around. I'd take a safer bet to rebake foglights in case there is condensation from a bad sealing job.. who knows....
