I got my windows tinted about a half a year ago... 35% fronts, 20% rear.. And now i think its not dark enough.. theres color, but i feel like people can see just as much as normal, and im not liking it. So i am thinking of going darker, but dont want to be pulled over by the cops. So i was thinking of going 25% all the way around. is 25% much different than 20%? Does anyone have 25% all around they can post? I've seen 20s all around, fvcking love it, but don't want the pops to get mad cause its not obeying the law. Or what if i went to 30% on fronts down from the 35s, would i notice a difference?

 

I'm in your same spot I have 35 and 30 on 20 on the back... I want 20 all the way way but I want darker because there are so many people where I go to school with like 5% and it looks awesome.... and they have never been bother by cops..... my luck, as soom as I got 5% i would get pulled over.. lol

dont do 5's at all, im guessing vision at night would be awful and unsafe

ya my friend had 20s on his car and was never bothered... i might go with 25s all the way around.. i will see what my tint guy has to say..

 

I really never drive in the dark but yea, I'm probly gonna get 20% all the way and maybe, just maybe, like 15% on the back, if not then 20% on the back too....

i live in NJ and i have 5% all around and on the winshield 5% strip for almost a year now, on my old tc i had 20% all around...i love the 5's just have to be careful what towns you drive through

I had full limo tints and after a year of verbal warnings and getting harassed by cops, I finally got a ticket. -_- (not bad for living in LA lol)

now i'm rolling around tintless and i gotta say, it looks better to me

Ya even doing 35 is illegal in some states. Do what you feel comfortable with. Also depends on what towns you are mainly in. Im sure small towns wont care as much as if your driving through a heavily crowded town.

 

i think i will try 25% on the sides, and just keep the back at 20%. I willl have to see what the guy says though.. he has like a million examples.

 

I've got 20% in VA and the state max is 50%. I've never been bothered though...

 

I have 5% all around on my BSP, and it looks pretty good. Never been bothered by the cops, nor do I have a huge problem at night when driving. You get used to it after a while, and if I have any problems backing out of a dark driveway, I just roll the window down.

 

alright so here is what i am thinkin... i will keep the 35% on the front side windows, go to 20% on the quarter windows, and seee what he thinks about tinting the sunroof and moonroof more.. Idn if the sunroof tint would get damaged at all or what. Or what % tint should i go on the roof so that its not blacked out, but like limo? what do people think? that way its still legal, wont make the pops mad, and still gets me the darkness of the windows

 

fvck it this is too much work lol... if im goin darker i will just go 20s all around.. for now i will just close the shades on top to make it darker..

do the back 3 in 5percent... the sun will fade it in time... no matter how good they say resist fade... it does... just like putn stickers on your windows... when u get tired of it ...the second u peel it off it leaves a sleight fade of the sticker..withen the tint..
