Default Touch-Up Paint for Minor Scratches

I recently found a small scratch on my tC - about an inch in length and about half a millimeter deep, probably smaller than that. I tried to buff it out using a microfiber cloth and some Meguiar's tech wax but it didn't really work. Is it 'safe' to use touch up paint to cover it up? If not how can it safely be covered/fixed?

The problem is I have an '09 Flint Mica tC, which as you know has purple sparkle flake...so I'm wondering how that works...

I would appreciate any feedback or comments!

Thanks in advance,

Howie

Tech wax won't work, try Scratch-X or 3M Rubbing compound. If doing it by hand, use lots of elbow grease.

I also had nice results from Nu Finish on the tC paint.

Well, when I run my finger nail down the scratch, it catches it, so it seems like it's too deep for scratch removers...I'll prolly just go to the dealer and have them do it.

what you guys think?

Never hurts to try in situations like this. Attempt the cheapest solutions(respectable), then try other fixes if nothing is working for you.
I have removed scratches by hand with Nu Finish where the base coat was showing just a bit.
Our paint may be thin but it's still new where you can still transfer some.

^ EXACTLY! Always try the least aggressive technique first.
