true pimp'd out cars r automatic...my interior has mtx sledgehammer subs, aftermarket radio, alpine, led's mini tv, mini dvd screens on seats, etc. i got the auto transmission, and even tho it might not be as fast as a manual, i added an injen CAI and a catback exhaust, n gonna add the trd supercharger or stage II turbo soon. Im happy with the auto cause theres traffic here in new york, and its soo annoying to drive stick in this traffic. any feedback on my auto tc?

I dont know where you got that "true" pimped out cars are auto... that makes no sense. but sounds like a nice car anyway. I'm not sure I would put a stage 2 on an auto though.

 

I am getting Stage 1 ZPI on mine and its an auto. We will see how long it lasts. I am planning on building the tranny in the future though...at least mildly.

True pimped out cars have four doors. Not very pimp when a girl cant even figure out how to get into the back seat.

I've heard that superchargers work well with autos because they power through the whole acceloration. In a manual, when you shift gears you loose power because the charger has to start all over and power through the gears. The spit second the car is not in gear is like a reset button. Whith an automatic the power is even through the gears. I don't know that much abot this stuff, and my car is a stick, but a friend of mine who is really into street racing (no backseat in his turboed talon) told me something like this.

 

I'm really tired of people running their mouths about how you can't or shouldn't turbo a auto. Some drag cars are auto and people forget supra turbos came only auto until the last two years because the manual broke. If done right a auto will crush the competition.

 

its actually almost foolish to say that autos will not work with turbos/SC's they make cars from the factory that are turbo'ed and s/c'ed and are auto. the tC is a newer car. the tranny is going to be built basically the same if its auto or manual. just controlled by human not something electronic. and now a days. if you have the will you can tune an auto to run just as good, maybe better than a manual. technology is crazy as hell. dont underestimate it.
