Default Trunk latch question

My trunk was frozen shut and when I yanked up on the trunk latch it popped off. I'm pretty sure I broke a clip that holds it but not sure.
Anyone have information on taking it this apart to check?

Well known problem for the latch to pop off, doesn't just have to be in frozen conditions. SEARCH and find the answer.

To take it apart you have to go in through the interior. All the beige(tan, whatever) panels pry off. From there you should be able to see what you've done.
As mentioned before, it's a very common problem, so I wouldn't really find it necessary to tear it all apart.
UNFORTUNATELY, it's actually a pretty costly piece if you were to go through trdsparks or anything like that. Your best bet would be a junk yard, unless you wanted to do something after market in it's place.
