I thought it was called the Spec edition. Not tuner edition. I always felt that tuner is related to performance. Nothing is different in the Spec model under the hood.

I guess you can order them from Toyota, but they come with the car.

I don't think they set out to make these to sell to current tC owners.

Mythbusters or not, common sense will tell you that before they see the little chrome rings on your headlights, they're gonna see your car...
He was probably talking about the reflective properties in regards to radar operation and reading a proper speed. Nothing about the cop seeing you...

they're not tinted.. they clearly took out the chrome on the inside of the headlight.

i know... that's MY picture i took.

Clearly you're smoking crack if you don't think those aren't also tinted.

I see the chrome ring around the light difusers is gone, but they tinted the entire light as well. They HAVE to keep the chrome behind the bulb or else there'd be nothing to reflect the light. The reason why it looks a lot darker is because the whole housing is smoked.

Gimmick.

You could pull that off with a set of stock headlights with minimal skill and a lot less money.

well then clearly i'm smoking crack...

the picture i took focused on the eyelid... i didn't care about the chrome rings.. so i set my shutter speed a little fast, thus making the inside chrome of the headlight darker. also i had a polarizing filter to rid of alot of the glare.. those things contributed to my picture seem like it was tinted.

unless you have seen them in person.. you can't comment.
go out to your dealer and have a look yourself..

or maybe look at other pictures like this:

located in such thread:

see how bright they are? and the fact he's getting a lot of reflection/glare? (polarizing filters gets rid quite a bit of that...) again... taking pictures to focus on eyelid.. having nothing in it.
