Default Two things on the front?

So I'm set on getting a wind splitter, but then had the idea to combine an OEM GFX front lip and a wind splitter, so I was looking around for pictures...

I was wondering if anyone else knows if combining the front lip and wind splitter has any problems with installation/fitment?

And what are your opinions on CF lip + CF splitter? Too much CF, or just enough to match with a RS1 rear? Should I just get the splitter in CF? Should I get ABS front lip and CF splitter?

Thanks for all your input.

Hmm, well you can go with whatever combo you want its your lip..the only thing that stopped me from getting the splitter was that it covers where you drain your oil..

but I've seen the GFX and splitter and combo and it looks sick so I'd try that out

It looks like the two front mounts are adjustable.

i had the APR splitter on my oem front lip. i scraped it on every driveay I'd enter/exit. my splitter was mounted further in compared to the guys above, so I'd imagine they scrape more. i evenutally took it off so I could go lower.

one of the stabilier rods eventually broke off from all that scraping

Thanks for the pictures, guys. Did you do the install yourself? Did the wind splitter get in the way of changing oil? I know Dr. Isotope's splitter is fine, but I haven't heard anything on the APR.

HKSpeed - That SUCKS. What did you do? Also, where in LA do you live? Do you usually scrape? I rarely scrape, so that's why I'm considering combining the two... I know I have some clearance room.

Thanks for answering all my questions.

if you do get the splitter then go with the gfx front lip because it's cut into the bumper and will support the weight of apr splitter better when driving than the rs1 since you only put 1-2 screws on each side of the bumper and hope it doesn't fall off lol.

The RS1 is too noticeable. I've already said that I'm only planning on the GFX front...

Thought about it, but I'm looking for some CF to match the CF RS1 rear.

Right. I was driving behind another tC owner when his doc isotope splitter flew off the car & the lovely rods flew into my windshield....

Was it just bad install, or faulty parts? Who did the install?

Wait a minute I skimmed through this thread a few hours ago and just came back to read up on the new posts and noticed who created this thread haha! IMO, it looks cleaner with just the OEM lip but being different is always good too

I'm pretty sure Doc installed it. It chipped my window, too, & the body work on his car had to be redone & repainted. His ~$300 underglows flew off with it & just shattered as well.
