Default Tyc LED question

Hi I'm new to the boards. I recently decided to buy a pair of TYC led's off someone on craigs list. I was wondering if anyone has tried to remove the amber turn signal and modifying it to a red lens somehow. I have seen the red overlays and i know thats a possiblity. I also know some ppl dont know what the big deal is with the amber signal but i feel it looks much cleaner with the red. any help would be appreciated!

I would probably stay away from trying to take it apart uless you have a professional who knows what he is doing and who has done one before. Your best bet would be to use a red overlay and to swap out the orange bulb for a white one. Either way, I hope it works out for you.

Either overlay the whole thing. Not worth tearing those apart. The RS3 ones have the red insert.

yeah those look pretty good... does the cut of the overlay fit well or does it look hodge podge?

in my opinion.. kinda hodge podge.

i'd overlay the whole thing and cutout the reverse area.
cheaper to diy, buy the vinyl and cut yourself.

It fits well, it just looks kinda weird from the sides, but it doesnt bother me. Looks way better than having the amber on it, and it lights up red.
