I don't know if this has been posted up yet or not, but does anybody know where I can get some red overlays for the tyc taillights??? Or does anybody know where I can get some overlays that are different colors other than the smoked look and red?? I was thinkng about some dark blue ones for my tC. Since it's NBM, I thought that would look better.

anything besides red or smoked will not look good IMO. i think red would look hawt for the TYC's

You could also get Vans Lens Paint for your TYCs if you don't mind painting them. I think this looks 100x better than ovelays. (Its also cheaper.) I have pics in my "profile" if you want to see how they came out.

dont get overlays they pell of or bubble up because of the heat of the light get them smoked your self with a can they sell for $14

 

i live in some crazy humidity and heat. Mine are still as new!

i never seen any problems with bubbling because of heat. it was about 110 sometime last week over here... i had things inside my house melt off the walls before i saw any issues with overlays.

 

If anything, I would imagine that they adhere better...kind of like shrink-wrap. Yes/No??

 

i can sorta imagine them being soft from being so hot... melting i guess? but i don't think it should do anything if you don't touch it.

 

Bubbling is cause by moisture still trapped underneath the overlay. Gotta really work the moiture and air bubbles out with a good squeegy or else that could happen. Peeling is cause by not applying enough pressure during install. Also, some moisture may be underneath the edges. Again, a good squuegy during application will take care of those issues.

What about pressure washing my car? would I have to be extra careful around the lights as to not lift the overlays off due to the high water pressure?
