Well i was gonna order the tycs until i saw the 08 lights and thought they weren't bad , i always wanted clear with black housing kinda like the mazda 3 lights...

The black housing matches the black housing of the headlights, the only thing is i wish the new lights were leds(kinda like the g35 coupe tails)

anyways what do u guys think? i bet once the 08 comes out some will eventually end up on craigslist or the classified section for cheap...

 

Just look at the eBay tail lights. They are essentially the same thing.

 

iono the ebay ones go to far with the altezza style, even the one with the smoked lense still has too much chrome for my taste...

I second that.... they came out like a month after I bought my TYC's. I'd much rather have those.

 

I Honestly dont think you can get the new RS3 TYCs. I was at the dealer yesterday trying to get them. They said they coudlnt get them. WtF! I want them.

You can't get them unless you have an RS3 VIN.

 

go to the nearest dealership and write down the vin. they are on the window sticker.

 

they'll make you verify that its yours. Good luck to anyone trying to get the TYCs from the RS3. Either you won't be getting them or you'll be paying A LOT more than theyre even worth. They won't be on any of the dealer accessory sites either. But the 08 tails will be available on TRDSparks and the others in no time!

Most dealers will ask you for your RS# and your VIN # before they sell you anything off an RS...even then I wouldn't be surprised if the TYC's cost like $500 or $600.

Back on topic, I'd take the TYC's over the stock '08's any day. just need some BlueBat overlays and you're good to go.
