Vertical/Lambo Door Future Mod
Well i have decided that i want Vertical/Lambo Doors as a future mod on my '08 tC, its not going to be next month or the next, but definetely in 2008.. I am expecting this to cost me from $1200 to $1600, from what i am told. So i would appreciate some info. on some good quality name brand kits that i can be checking out, i definetely don't want any ebay brackets

don't do it.....
that's my advice man.
tC's heavy doors + any door kit = wobble wobble.
(even the higher quality ones)..
save the money for other things... and when you got nothing else to spend left... then perhaps look into it then.

Doing vertical doors look pretty cool but there are a few cons to consider. First of all the car was not designed for these and over time it will scratch up your door jam. Also if you have an passengers that either don't know how to open it or forget, can push too hard (as if they were trying to open a typical door) and it can warp the fender. I too would like to get this done, but all the cons are kind of holding me back. That is why a lot of people suggest not to get it done.
like everybody has been saying, don't get them, BUT its your money and your car, do what you please
Personally I wouldn't put them on, why? for the simply reason that everybodys doing it, every car they can think of, from pos rice cars to ferraris.
Lambo doors belong on lamborghinis, enough said, people are killing it so bad that they dont even put them on their new gallardo, thats some fu*ked up sh*t

By that logic u shouldnt do anything.
tint
intake
exhaust
lowering springs
wheels
HID's
turbo's
audio
Because everyone's doing it.
But to answer the actual question...
vertical doors inc. and lsd-doors are the best kits out for the tC
Ive had VDI for over a yr on a daily driver and Im a big guy. Had to adjust it once in all that time and took like 5 mins. Open door > Adjust Sag Bolt > Close Door. I have no scratches inside my door sill and havnt even heard of that before. Doors only wobble when its windy and ALL bolt-on kits do that. If u have anymore questions feel free to PM me.

you get these doors, you call them lambo doors, you dont say "doors that go up"
if you get some tints or somthing like that, you dont go around and tell your friends "yo, I got some lambo tints" haha they'll be like wtf
But I guess your right, you could call them vertical doors, technically there not real lambo doors, all the aftermarket ones have to pop out first, unlike Lamborghinis
to my understanding, the lambo doors open out to the first stop, which is enough from for an averaged size person to get in and out easily.
if that is the case, than the doors can be lifted sparingly and increase the life of the shocls, correct? thus also equating to minimal wear over time as opposed to wearing out the shocks quickly.
I think the biggest concern would be opening the door too far and bending the fender.
I personally like lambo doors. considering that not many cars in my area actually have them. and I think in person they look pretty neat. and its generally an impressive eye catcher to the normal population not automotive inclined.

The only people who hate lambo doors are fat. Fat kids = Lambo doors worst enemy.
I say don't do it. While I like lambo doors for a daily driver you will wear them out so fast combined with the fact many people complain about wind noise from them I would recommend against it.
