Default Very dissapointed with the ABS lip kit

well i got the kit from racingsolutions.com , and when i went to have it installed the autobody guy test fit it all, and the front and rear were perfect, but the side skirts didnt fit good at all. He slid them over the stock ones just like your supposed to, and they top piece that folds over, keeps gettin caught up where the door comes in. (kinda hard to explain in text) but it makes it an extremely tight fit for the door. from the looks of it, i have to ditch the side skirts, and just rock front and rear, unless anyone has any suggestions???????????

Sell the side skirts on ebay and then buy Viniati Side skirts.

Ive always liked the viniati side skirts, and they seem like way less to worry about fitment issues. any one with them know how the install is/ fitment?

also where did you order them from?

why dont u call racing solutions and have them remedy ur problem. apparently ur one of the only people w/ this issue.

essentially send urs back to them and have them send u another pair.

Is it the c/f ABS kit? My brother just got his c/f ABS lip kit from racingsolutions.com and we test fitted it and everything lines up perfect.

Umm... I have the CF ABS side skirts, and your supposed to take off the stock side skirts and replace them with the ABS ones. Havent heard of anyone trying to put it over the stock one. Thats probably why its not fitting.

umm i cant really get a pic, but its on the top of the side skirt, where the door goes over it when it is closed. and i talked to the autobody shop about what itd take to make it work, and he said for a great job, 15-20 hours.. and thats alot of money for me to make a kit that "bolts right on" work.

have you tried calling ABS? Maybe they have had this problem before. Like I said Ive only worked with the cf lip kit from them but you have to remove the stock side skirts for it. Its the same kit but one is cf and one isnt. So I would think you'd habe to remove the stock side skirts. Have you tried it yet?
