Default What is the best looking exterior upgrade?

I was just wondering what the best looking and most important exterior upgrade would be in your opinion.

Springs is my first pick, than tingt would be next. I like to keep the car mostly stock looking on the outside. Even though sooner or later I'll probly go to a diffrent set of rims, but if you don't do that, than atleast change out the actualy tires on them.

Ideally I would do springs, tint, chrome front turn signals, silverstar high/low beams & then lip spoiler and forget the ground effects... I dont like the stock ones too much and I dont really trust the fit of aftermarkets just yet...after the spoiler, the last thing I would do is get bigger rims, because I think the stock rims look pretty damn nice so I can afford to wait on new rims last... then I'll have to wait and see what other cool things come out for the tC... but Im gonna keep it stock looking for the most part.

I went with springs, but I don't think they belong in this poll. Are you going for cosmetic upgrade (the rest of the options)? Or performance?

So you are saying that lowering a car is only a performance upgrade? A lot of people think that it just looks better, from what Ive been reading on this forum.

No, it does look good, I'm not debating that. But the rest really are (almost only) cosmetic. The springs have a significantly greater effect on performance. You could almost argue the spoilers have a peformance effect... but uh, I'd call BS.

A slammed tC looks so much more aggressive than stock, its cheap, and it helps with performance. Springs take the prize!

I am really surprised that lowering springs are winning! I was really thinking that tint or spoilers would be winning just because they would have more of a visual effect rather than a drop in ride height. Sorry I haven't done a lot of searcing on this subject, but if anyone has any good pictures or links that would be awesome! What are the best springs to get then?

I saw the pedestal spoiler today for the first time in person. It is really clunky looking and looks like it would cause more drag than downforce. I think that they are not good for performance or looks. I think it is a bad option for a sleek looking car. Does anyone have any good pics of their tinted and lowered tC?

What kind of lowering springs should I get. How do I get shocks to match?

Personally I love the factory ground effects, I feel it gives the car a nice aggressive appearance plus gives an illusion of it being dropped. Should be stock.

I agree. The ground effects kit makes mine sporty.

Your poll and question are really vauge . . . are you reffering to upgrade offered by scion ? or just upgrades aftermarket? I put down lowersprings if it's aftermarket. I it was offered by the factory I would choose the Ground Effects Lip kit.

I voted lowering - to me personally it is the first thing I try to have done. For me it cleans it up, making it look AND feel more sporty - for the price, cosmetic appaerance and performance it is the best option.

I'll be putting on my Hotchkis Stage 1 kit this weekend; can't wait!

From Toyota/Scion I went with pedestal spoiler and ground effects and couldn't be happier. I second guessed myself on the spoiler, but am now really happy I got it. Like someone else said above about the ground effects, although not a dramatic difference, it really adds something to the car.

Putting on wheels and lowering would be the greatest best most obvious look-wise upgrade!
