What is the best way to install..... *HELP!*
Hey everyone,
I recently ordered the CF dash kit from TRDspark.com and I want to know what the best way to apply the rear deck trim piece would be. It is a fairly large piece and I dont want it to be noticeably crooked if I can help it. Is there any way to best install this so I can move it or somethin? Same question about the dash pieces.
Thanks everyone,

When installing mine, I just held it close with the backing off so I could tell where it was going to lay. Unfortunately it won't be completely perfect, but if you kind of test it enough it will come out fine.
I did the dash peices in a few minutes, and it came out basically perfect. I rushed the door part a little too much and the square with the scion logo on it is a little too high and the big U shaped peice is also, but it's not horrible.
The garnish peice is what I bought the kit for really, and with that I just held it so the top edge was up against the paint like this -| ( - being the applique and | being the car) and after lining it up, I started arching it downward making sure the Scion logo was centered.
Just don't be afraid, it will pull off with some TLC and patience if it doesn't come out the way you like it.

If you want a little more insurance past just eyeballing it, I've found this works sometimes (I usually just put stuff on though
). Line-up whatever it is you're putting on (with the backing still on) and once you have it lined-up and centered have someone take some masking tape and tape one side (preferably one of the long(er) ones) making a hinge. Then bend the decal/vinyl at the hinge, remove the backing, and place down. Works pretty well.
I think I'll do a little of both of those tips^.
Thanks for the help. I mainly purchased the kit for the rear piece too, I wish the rear piece came seperate from the dash kit. Oh well. Now I just have to wait for it to come in.
I'll post pics when I get it installed.
Other tips and trick are still welcome.

Here's the link: http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...3&parts_id=628. I'll post pics this weekend. I wouldn't suggest installing the piece that surrounds the AC vent adjustment wheel on the top part of the dash because if you dont get it on there right it makes the spin-wheel harder to turn. I think that piece looks out of place anyways, but thats just my opinion. All in all, I belive it looks great on the car and I think its a good quality kit.
Like I said, I'll post pics tomorrow!
Thanks for the install help, it helped alot!
