So I've been kind of interested in getting my hood wrapped in some vinyl lately.
I was kind of thinking like a dark camo, kinda like this, except a little darker


either that or a black and white checkerboard pattern like



here are some pics of my car to better give you an idea.
now though, my eyebrows,amber corners and turn signals are now all painted black

my first thought was carbon fiber, but then I figured that would be a pretty big no-no. so I left that pattern behind

 

If you do go with checkerboard, make sure its not small. It'll cause seizures haha

 

k ill say it....... no!!! ahah IMO i think it would look weird, though ive never seen it on a car in the first place.

 

I'd go with like 4"x4" squares

 

i would have to say no. BUT if you did the lil squares you should use black, and grey instead of white

no problem, i mean it all depends on how flashy you want the hood to be. with the black and grey it gives it a "hidden" look because the pattern would almost look like a solid color from far away, and the details would be brought out more from up close.

 

Yea. That's kind of why I wanted the dark camo. Like it looks all crazy up close, but I'm assuming from a distance it would just look gray.

well, we'll see how much the shop wants. I'm hoping nothing crazy. I just think they're gunna get me on the install. unless I can do it myself. Oh god

i like camo, but your car is too stock-looking for such a dynamic scheme. since you're just lowered with black wheels, the hood (camo or checkered) makes it look ghetto. if you do the hood vinyl, you'll need to add something else that gives your car more style or character.

perhaps slamming your car and painting the wheels a bright color might do it. yellowxhoodie's car would be a good candidate. his car is just lowered with stock wheels, but its got character and style.
