These are the new "eBay fogs." Who makes these?? I assume they will remove that ugly orange and chrome. I also believe DIYers will make some sick fogs out of these. Already I think projectors, color matching, HIDs, etc. I think I may go with these fogs and just smoke the lens. Or I might dremel it open (baking might melt the lens) and custom paint them to match white and chrome or something. What is the bulb size?? How is the light output?? Someone needs to get a pair. At worst they will push down the price of the overpriced VRDs.

VRD was going to distribute those fogs found on eBay, but they are cheaply made and they decided to design their own with a higher quality. I've seen those lights in person; If you want to spend $90-$120 for the eBay fogs, go for it. But from what I saw, they will be prone to condensation from being poorly sealed to begin with, the reflectors are poorly designed and will adversely affect light output, and lens looks too thin to survive a rock shot. The phrase "you get what you pay for" is not cliché in this case.

Personally I don't think the VRD fog lights are over priced. I talked to Alex at Vertexracing and he hooked me up big time and also with instal at no charge at all. Also, Billy at Vertexracing showed me the new ebay fog lights and thank god that I didn't purchase them, cuz they are very cheap in construction and the whole thing is made in plastic. The VRD one I got is really good quality and the front lense is made from really thick glass. Like 2fast4you said, u get what u paid for, and I would rather spend a little more money now to buy a well constructed item with great quality than spend the money on something cheap and throw it away in a couple of month cuz the lense broke or what not....just my 2 cents

VRDs are made of glass?? then I guess there will be no smoking them. It will be impossible to roughen it up enough for VHT to stick. I guess you get what you pay for but $300 for fogs is too much for something that costs a few dollar to manufacture. If VRD doesn't take advantage of the people who are willing to pay now then they will lose customers to other fog producers. Here is just one example of many more to come. Don't be stubborn VRD. Smart business men make smart decisions and don't shoot themselves in the foot when they have a chance at a monopoly... Just my opinion..

I'm still waiting for someone to post pics of light and whether those are HIDable or not.. and I also can't wait to see the custom ones that are made out of these. Again, I am not saying any are better I am just waiting to see what will happen with the whole situation.

These eBay fogs are starting to look a little better. I still can't wait to see the custom work that is going to go on with these fogs. Already I was in contact with one guy who blacked out the chrome and orange part. Can't wait to see custom paint, projectors, HIDs, etc using these fogs as a base...

Just trying to get them all up on here. Here are some more custom fitted ebay/walmart type fogs.

Here are some more pics of the IS300s.

And heres the VRDs with yellow bulbs and a pic with a 6000k HID kit..

And heres some more of the Hella Micro De's with a 3000k HID kit.

I didn't really post any pics of the LED ones because they're not really fogs I guess, but feel free to post them up on this board. Also these pics are coming off the boards but I'm just trying to get them all up in one board so it is easier for people to view. I know there are about ten posts going on about these side vent fogs.

ANY THAT I MISSED?? Keep on posting em.

yea but if they werent so much money then everyone would have them, so in a way you're also buying exclusivity..

Who cares about exclusivity... 1. all we want is lights that work, easy to install, don't look like poop, and actually cost what they are worth. 2. It's a Scion.. if I was that concerned about exclusivity I would've bought a car worth more then 17 K.

It's not exclusivity it's called a rip off...

Here are some more eBay fogs. Try telling me they don't look good now... The first has the orange piece painted silver to match the car.

These next pics are the eBay fogs on my superwhite. The housing and orange piece have been custom painted to the color of my car. Also I threw in a yellow H3 HID kit. Sorry I had the headlights on the whole time but for some reason when I tried running a switch it wouldn't work with the HID/fog wiring setup. Whatever, the total cost for mine was $285, and I think it's about the best price you can pay.
