What taillights are these?
I don't know if I should go with the new stock ones or the other tail lights that they offer which aren't new....but they're different. Which one do you guys think I have a better chance of customizing and doing a tail light paint job on them?

what color is your car first of all?
i like the new taillights as they are on a lighter colored car, but they'll need to be smoked, imo, on a darker colored one.

not many people have the new '08 tails vice the TYC's
but yea.. with the darker colored SCM, imo, it looks out of place and you'll need to smoke the tails to make them look better.
the TYC's i would too... up to you at this point if you want to spend the money and how much

I just posted the pics from the 2008 tail lights, 2 posts above yours, look at the one that has "2008 Lights" over it.
As far as smoking, the dealerships don't do it. You have to do it your self, either get the vinyls or the spray. The spray is easier to apply but harder to maintain, whereas the vinyls are a pain in the rear to put on the tc but once they are there, you are good.
