I like the pedestal spoiler a lot better than the rear lip spoiler because i like a little height for the spoiler... not too big and not real small. It also really depends on what your car looks like... some tC's look better with the rear lip spoiler but most look better with the pedestal

 

IMO I think between the two I'd say lip spoiler. The pedestal spoiler, TO ME, doesn't look like it goes with the rest of the car all that well, sorta looks outta place....

I think the Pedestal Spoiler gives the tC a more sporty look and without anything gives it more of a luxurious look.

 

pedestal is just too flashy

 

I can see how water leaking from the spoiler could be a pain... But Get some quick detailer or other detailing lube. Let it leak, then wipe up. No waterspots.

And I uh. Like to think the lip spoiler has a slightly 'luxury' look. lol.

 

A guy at my work has the lip spoiler and side by side my pedastol looks much better. Even he agrees.

 

deff go with the lip...i regret getting the pedestal spoiler...it looks to bulky esp. if ur looking for a clean look to ur car...and it makes ur car look heavy

I'd get the lip spoiler over the pedistal any day. I don't want a shopping cart tC with a wing ready for takeoff...I simply would want to change the body lines just a bit for a slightly more aggressive look. I am actually looking at getting the M3 style lip spoiler from this thread in Sponsored Sales: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...&highlight=lip Very subtle, but changes the body lines at the rear of the car and fairly inexpensive as well.

 

I think the pedestal spoiler makes the rear look funny. It really doesn't belong on the car. I think it has something to do with the rounded shape of the car, in addition to the narrow "trunk" area.

 

I personally think without it, the tC looks like a dog with its tail between it's legs. The pedestal spoiler gives the back end something to live for.

 

i think the lip spoiler is very subtle and the pedestal is too big. Pretty much what everyone else is saying. But, the TC does need something back there cause it is too plain otherwise.

 

I love my pedestal spoiler, it gives the tC a sporty yet clean look which is what I am going for.

 

IMO the pedistal spoiler is the way to go...It gives the car a new dimesion from the rear. Without the pedistal spoiler it just seems like the car is missing something.

I have the ped spoiler on my 06 tC and I love it!

 

all you saying clean look and getting the ped spoiler...i feel it's an oxymoron

 

From the pics posted, it seems like a lot of the tC's that have the ped spoiler don't have the lip-kit. For me, if I didnt have the Lip-Kit, that would be a nono. They just kinda seem to go hand-in-hand. My .02

 

back to my car being blue, since color seems to matter...what do you all recommend i go with? pedastal, lip, or nothing. I have no other mods as of yet.

Well what most of us are trying to say is that you should get the ground effects kit if you want the pedestal spoiler. I think the car would look clean w/o any spoiler and just the ground effects.

 

I am getting a lip kit to go with my pedistal (I posted pics earlier)
I would have them now but I could get them in my color for a while.

i personnally dont like the m3 spoiler at all.

and there is also the viniati spoiler that I think is pretty sharp
