its just a small trailer like you get from u-haul I'm not a total tard. I know that you shouldn't tow anything heavy with the car. I'm just looking for the hitch does anyone know?

and just because he missed it the first time...
do what you want.. if you or your car gets hurt.. it's your fault.
and just because i know it at the top of my head... total load capacity is 865 lbs for the car. (figuring that the weight is inside or on top the car..)
you can dinghy tow your car... but only if you have a manual tranny.. and you'd still need the parts to connect it.

Yeah.. everyone is really just offering friendly advice here. If you can afford to rent a truck, you really wont be able to afford fixing the car if you break something. Not to mention the absolute horrible mileage you will get with the trailer.
By the time you did find a hitch, then get it installed, then rent the uhaul trailer, you could just rent an suv or pickup and haul the stuff in there. Much safer that way.

Bignoog,
To be honest with you, I don't think there is any place strong enough to mount a trailer hitch on the tC without pulling your car apart. As others have mentioned, it's best to bite the bullet and rent a truck and a car dolly. If you can't afford that, you probably shouldn't be moving in the first place.

This is where I got my hitch, not to hard to install (actually it was easy) There was one hole that needed to be enlarged, however the included instructions state everything that you need to do. Let me know if anyone has any questions. I have racked 3 bikes and towed a med sized closed trailer (I had to wire up tow lights for that one...UHaul requirement). No problems for well over a year. Again any questions let me know.
